For the Man Who Feels Inadequate

Jun 9, 2025

2 Corinthians 3:5 (NIV)

For men who feel unqualified or overwhelmed—this scripture and prayer remind you that your strength comes from God, not from yourself.

Heavenly Father,

There are days I look at all I’m responsible for and wonder if I’m enough. I see my flaws, my limits, and the ways I don’t measure up. I try to hold it together, but deep down, I often feel like I’m faking strength I don’t actually have. Today, I give that pressure to You.

Remind me that You never asked me to be perfect—You asked me to be faithful. You never expected me to do it all on my own. My competence doesn’t come from my performance but from Your power working in me. Replace my insecurity with confidence that’s rooted in who You are, not who I’m not.

Give me courage to show up even when I feel underqualified. Help me rely on Your wisdom, speak with Your clarity, and lead with Your strength. I surrender the pressure to prove myself and ask You to shine through my weakness.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

"Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God."
