When Anxiety Takes Over

1 Peter 5:7 (NIV)
For men battling anxiety—this prayer and verse offer real peace by reminding you that God doesn’t just see your burden, He carries it.
Heavenly Father,
My mind is spinning, my heart feels heavy, and anxiety is starting to take control. I’m trying to manage it, push through it, and act like it’s fine—but You see past all of that. You know I’m tired. You know I’m overwhelmed. And You care.
Today I take this verse seriously. I cast my anxiety on You—not just talk about it, but truly hand it over. I lay down my fears about the future, the pressure to provide, the weight of expectations, and the battles in my mind. I surrender the things I can’t fix, control, or even fully understand.
Fill me with Your peace where anxiety used to live. Quiet the noise in my soul with Your presence. Help me breathe again—not in panic, but in trust. You are not distant. You are here, and You care.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
