2 Corinthians 4:16 (NIV)

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.

Renewed Day by Day

Paul wrote this verse to a struggling church in Corinth to encourage perseverance through suffering. He reminds them—and us—that even though the physical body ages, breaks down, and suffers, God is doing something invisible and internal every single day: renewing us from the inside out.

Men often judge their strength by what’s seen—muscle, endurance, output. But this verse reveals a different kind of strength: the kind God builds in our spirit while we suffer, wait, and grow. It's not about avoiding pain; it's about trusting that God is using it to transform us.

So don’t lose heart. Even if you’re tired, sore, or broken, God is still at work in you. Every day, He's making you stronger in the places that matter most.
