Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Paul writes this verse to believers as part of a larger call to live with compassion, kindness, humility, and patience. But here, he zeroes in on one of the hardest commands: forgiveness. Not just forgiving because it feels good, but forgiving as the Lord forgave you. That standard is high. Jesus didn’t wait for an apology. He forgave first.
For men who’ve been hurt, by friends, family, even themselves, this verse is hard but healing. Forgiveness isn’t excusing the wrong. It’s choosing not to carry it anymore. You’re not saying it didn’t matter. You’re saying Jesus matters more.
Today’s step: Let go. Forgive. Not because they earned it, but because He gave it to you.
