Galatians 1:10 (NASB)

For am I now seeking the favor of people, or of God? Or am I striving to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.

Pleasing God Over People.

This verse calls men to examine who they’re really living for. People-pleasing is a hidden chain that steals your freedom. If your decisions, words, and actions are driven by what others think of you, you’re enslaved to their approval. Paul makes it clear: if you want to follow Christ fully, you cannot serve the opinions of men.

Being a bond-servant of Christ means living to please Him alone. His approval is the only one that matters. Every man wrestles with this tension, whether it’s seeking validation from a boss, friends, social media, or even his own family. But Christ calls you higher – to live for an audience of One.

Today, ask yourself: whose favor are you seeking? Let your choices reflect a heart anchored in God’s approval alone. When you live to please Him, you walk in true freedom and unshakeable confidence.
