Isaiah 43:18–19 (NIV)

Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

Falsely Accused, Fully Redeemed

These words were spoken through the prophet Isaiah to a weary people weighed down by their past failures. God was reminding them that He was not bound by their history—He was about to do something new, something they couldn’t even imagine yet. His power wasn’t limited to what He had done before—He was the God of fresh beginnings.

For men carrying regret, shame, or failure, this verse is a lifeline. You don’t have to stay stuck in your past. God is already at work doing something new. Even if you feel like you’re in a wasteland, He’s creating a way—and even streams of life—where you thought there was only ruin.

Today’s reminder: Don’t miss what God is doing now because you’re stuck staring at what used to be. Look forward. He’s moving.
