Jeremiah 17:7–8 (NIV)

But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.

Jeremiah contrasts two types of people—those who trust in themselves, and those who trust in the Lord. This passage highlights the man who plants his life in God: he becomes resilient, steady, and fruitful, no matter what’s happening around him. His strength isn’t circumstantial—it’s rooted in confidence in God.

For men facing pressure, uncertainty, or change, this is a blueprint. The man who thrives isn’t the one with perfect conditions—it’s the one whose roots run deep. The drought will come. The heat will rise. But if your life is planted in trust, you won’t be shaken.

Today’s challenge: Put your roots deeper, not wider. Trust in the One who doesn’t change.
