The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

The Lord Is My Rock:
David wrote this psalm as a song of victory after being rescued from his enemies. He doesn’t credit his own strength, strategy, or courage, he credits God as his fortress, shield, and refuge. This verse stacks up images of defense and protection to make one thing clear: God is the safe place when everything else is falling apart.
For men fighting battles, physical, emotional, spiritual, this truth is solid ground. When you feel surrounded or outmatched, you don’t need to run, you need to stand in the shelter of your God. He is your stronghold. He defends you. He covers you.
Today’s reminder: You don’t have to be the strongest one in the fight. Just take refuge in the One who already won.
