Train Me Like a Soldier

Train Me Like a Soldier

2 Timothy 2:3–4 (NIV)

Wednesday, July 23, 2025

For the man who’s easily distracted or worn down—this prayer calls him to endurance, focus, and mission as a soldier of Christ.

White Textured Paper

Heavenly Father,

You’ve called me to more than comfort. You’ve called me to live like a soldier—focused, disciplined, and ready to suffer for what matters. But I admit, I get distracted. I let the noise of the world pull me off mission.

So today I recommit. Train me in Your truth. Harden me for battle—not just against the world, but against my own laziness and compromise. Keep me locked in on the orders You’ve given. Let me live not for applause, but for Your approval.

Make me strong, focused, and faithful.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

2 Timothy 2:3–4 (NIV)

Join with me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer.
