John 3:36 (NIV)

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.

John 3:36 closes the chapter that contains Jesus’ conversation with Nicodemus about being born again. This verse is a direct and sobering statement about the dividing line between eternal life and separation from God. The context makes it clear that faith in Jesus is not optional but the very foundation of life itself. Eternal life is both a present reality and a future promise, and the rejection of Christ leads to spiritual death.

Men often feel the weight of responsibility, trying to build their legacy, secure their families, or succeed in their careers. Yet no amount of work, money, or strength can overcome the reality of eternity. This verse calls men to confront a truth we often avoid: our eternal destiny is not decided by our performance, but by our response to Christ. To believe is to surrender, to trust, and to walk with Him daily. To reject Him is to carry the crushing burden of trying to do life alone.

Today, take a moment to reaffirm your faith in Jesus. Let this verse remind you that belief in Him is not just about heaven later, it’s about life now. Choose to walk in the confidence of eternal life, free from fear, by keeping your trust rooted in Christ.
