Alex was a name everyone in real estate circles knew. He closed deals that others only dreamed of, drove luxury cars, and lived in a house that was the envy of many. From the outside, he was the picture of success.

Yet behind the sharp suit and confident smile, Alex carried a gnawing emptiness. The more he achieved, the less satisfied he felt. He had everything he thought would bring peace, but late at night, the silence of his home felt heavier than the applause of the world.
One deal in particular shattered his illusions. After months of work, a partner he trusted betrayed him, costing him millions. Alex felt crushed, not just financially but personally. His foundation had been built on success, and now it was shaking beneath him.
In his frustration, he reached for the Bible his mother had given him years ago. Dust clung to the cover as he opened it. His eyes landed on 1 Corinthians 15:58: “Stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord.”
The verse cut through his pride. He realized he had been laboring for recognition, not for the Lord. Success had been his identity, but it left him vulnerable when it crumbled. He knew he must Stand Firm and Unshakable in his faith!
That night, Alex prayed for the first time in years. He confessed his emptiness and asked God to show him what truly mattered. Tears blurred his vision as he admitted he had chased everything but Christ.

In the days that followed, Alex began to stand firm in the Lord. He started his mornings with prayer instead of emails. He asked God to direct his steps in business and in life. Slowly, the weight of emptiness lifted.
Clients began to notice a change. He was less concerned with closing deals quickly and more focused on building trust and serving people honestly. For the first time, he felt peace even when deals fell through.
One client asked him, “Alex, what’s different about you?” He smiled and replied, “I finally realized my work isn’t just about property. My labor belongs to the Lord.”
As he lived out his faith, God opened doors he had never expected. Opportunities came not because of manipulation but because of integrity. His reputation shifted from a realtor known for wealth to a man known for faith.
Challenges still came. The market dipped, deals fell apart, and pressure mounted. But unlike before, Alex stood firm in the Lord, anchored in something unshakable.
He began mentoring younger agents, not just in business but in faith. He told them, “Success without God is fragile. But when you labor for the Lord, nothing you do is in vain.” His home also changed. Where silence once mocked him, worship now filled the air. His life felt whole in a way money could never buy.
Looking back, Alex knew that betrayal and loss had been the very tools God used to break his pride and rebuild his foundation on Christ.
Today, Alex’s testimony is clear: stand firm in the Lord. Wealth may fade, reputations may crumble, but labor for Christ echoes in eternity.
Where do you need to stand firm in the Lord today?
In my work and career
In my family and home
In my faith during trials
In my daily walk with God
